Balneário Camboriú, in Santa Catarina, is set to host the tallest residential building in the world: the Senna Tower. With more than 500 meters in height, the skyscraper will feature 288 apartments, including units that could reach R$ 200 million. Once completed, Senna Tower will surpass the Central Park Tower in New York, which stands at 472 meters and is currently the world’s tallest residential building. A Tribute to Ayrton Senna The tower is named in honor of legendary Formula 1 driver Ayrton Senna, as part of a collaboration between the Senna family, FG Empreendimentos, and Grupo Hang. Lalalli Senna, Ayrton Senna’s niece, stated that the building is “inspired by Ayrton Senna’s journey of overcoming challenges, symbolizing the ‘Hero’s Journey,’ pushing limits, and striving for excellence.” Completion and Market Impact The Senna Tower is expected to be completed within 7 to 10 years, further solidifying Balneário Camboriú as a hub for luxury high-rise developments and attracting both national and international investors. Currently, the city is home to the Yachthouse by Pininfarina Tower 2, standing at 294.1 meters, making it Brazil’s tallest residential building. With the construction of Senna Tower, Balneário Camboriú continues to establish itself as a global luxury real estate destination.
