Yesterday, Sunday (March 16), Corinthians surprised Palmeiras by winning 1-0 at Allianz Parque in the first leg of the 2025 São Paulo State Championship final. The winning goal was scored by Yuri Alberto, following an individual play and an assist from Memphis Depay, at the 12th minute of the second half. With this victory, Corinthians now only needs a draw at Neo Química Arena on March 27 to win the title. Palmeiras, on the other hand, needs to win to take the decision to penalties or secure a fourth consecutive championship.
